Basic information and history

The 2005 Lexus LS 430 represents the pinnacle of Japanese engineering in the luxury segment. Combining cutting-edge technology, uncompromising comfort and a legendary reputation for durability, this model has become the obvious choice for enthusiasts who want a long-lasting and discreet luxury car. The LS 430 is the model that set the benchmark for quiet operation, build quality and reliability – and unlike European premium cars, costs remain reasonable even after many years of use.

This example is imported from the Netherlands and has covered 143,827 kms (at the time the photos were taken). In Sweden, the car has only had its current user, while the number of previous owners abroad is unclear.

The owner's own words: "Simply put, this is the best car ever built if you are looking for luxury, comfort and reliability without high ownership costs". It's hard to argue against it; The 4.3-liter V8 and the proven automatic transmission are known to roll hundreds of thousands of kilometers, and there are several examples that have passed a million kilometers. The LS 430 has quickly become a classic among connoisseurs who want trouble-free car ownership in an exclusive package.

Noteworthy: The car underwent a full anti-rust treatment in 2023 (especially important since these cars did not have this from the factory in the Netherlands), and almost all original details and functions are preserved and work flawlessly.

The car is equipped with the Custom Luxury package – identical to the President model in almost everything except that it lacks the rear center console/seat massage/refrigerator. The head unit has been upgraded to a sought-after solution from Teyes, which adds modern multimedia and an improved user experience. The rear camera is integrated and the old hub/radio unit is included. Otherwise, the car is in original condition with the exception of the professional repainting of some panels and rust protection treatment.

Condition

Body and exterior: The paintwork is in very good condition throughout, with no visible scratches. Some panels have been professionally repainted (including the bumper), but the finish is uniform and high-quality – there is a small dent by the rear right parking sensor (see picture). The car has been regularly polished and all chrome/mouldings, emblems and headlight lenses are in excellent condition.

Interior: The entire cabin shows minimal wear; some small marks are visible on the right rear seat (see picture). and two small cigarette marks are in the corner of the headliner by the driver's seat, otherwise in original condition. All buttons and controls work, except for the electric steering wheel longitudinally (in/out) but the height adjustment still works.

Tires and rims: The tyres are Michelin Primacy 4 from 2021. The car has only been used for summer traffic – never driven in winter in Sweden. Original 18-inch Lexus rims have been refurbished to factory new standard.

Mechanics and function: The engine is very nice and runs silky smooth, the gearbox and drivetrain work perfectly. Parking sensors, air conditioning and all electrical functions are fully functional (except those previously mentioned).

Service history

The car is delivered with a service booklet and documentation from previous owners. Service stamps are available up to 2020; after that, the car has been serviced annually with an oil change by the current owner since import to Sweden in 2023. The documentation also includes some receipts, protocols and papers from road worthiness-inspections. The last inspection was carried out on 2025-03-07 and the car passed with flying colours.

Summary

This Lexus LS 430 is an exemplary maintained flagship with legendary quality and comfort, without typical concerns associated with European luxury cars. This example has been modernized in just the right way and has been cared for by an enthusiast with the right equipment, extra rust protection treatment, and a nearly flawless exterior and interior.
