Basic Information and History
A very rare BMW M5 of the E39 generation, manufactured in 2000 and imported from Germany. The odometer reads 215,000 km and the car has had a total of 12 owners. It comes with original books, including the service booklet and documented service history.
What makes this particular example especially interesting is its factory-ordered paint in Calypsorot Metallic – a color that was removed from BMW’s standard palette already in 1999. This M5 was built in 2000 and ordered through the BMW Individual program, which, according to likely available sources, makes it the only known example in the world in this color combination – a true one-off for collectors and enthusiasts.

Condition
Body and Paint:
The body is in good condition with some minor door dings and small dents that are not particularly prominent. There are areas where the clear coat has deteriorated, as well as signs of repainting on some unspecified panels. Stone chips are present, especially at the front. No visible rust, though some oxidation is noted on the door seals.
Glass and Chrome:
The driver’s side window shows delamination (bubbling between the glass layers). Chrome trim, emblems, and light lenses are in used condition.
Wheels and Tires:
The wheels have some surface scuffs. The tires are recently replaced Michelin Pilot Sport 4 with 6–7 mm tread depth.
Interior:
The interior is in good condition, rated 7/10. No damage to the seats, door panels, door sills, headliner, or dashboard. The steering wheel and controls show normal wear for the age. All electronics are fully functional: A/C, power windows, interior lighting, instrument cluster, etc.
Engine and Mechanical:
The engine is in very good condition and recently passed a comprehensive "Inspection 2" at Förenade Bil BMW in Malmö with no remarks. The gearbox and drivetrain function flawlessly. The brakes will need replacement soon.
Service History
The car has a fully stamped service booklet with documentation according to BMW’s recommended intervals.
The most recent service was carried out at Förenade Bil AB in Malmö about two months ago, with supporting documentation available. Earlier records and receipts are also included. There are some gaps in the service history during years when the car was de-registered and stored in a garage.
The most recent inspection (Swedish roadworthiness test) was passed on 2025-05-07.
Summary
This BMW M5 E39 offers not only performance and driving pleasure but also unique collector value thanks to its rare BMW Individual color specification. The combination of Calypsorot paint, manual V8, documented history, and unmodified original condition makes this one of the most compelling examples on the market.
For the enthusiast or collector looking for something truly special, this is an opportunity that seldom arises. Verified as 1 of 1 according to available sources – and a car that deserves preservation for the future.
