The GMC Typhoon belongs to a short but memorable era at General Motors, when a two-door GMC Jimmy was transformed into one of the fastest production cars of its time. The model was built only during 1992 and 1993, following its pickup sibling the Syclone from 1991. Under the hood sits a 4.3-liter V6 with a Mitsubishi turbo and water-cooled intercooler, factory-rated at approximately 280 horsepower and around 475 Nm. Power is delivered via a four-speed 4L60 automatic transmission and a BorgWarner transfer case with permanent all-wheel drive, where approximately 35 percent of the torque goes to the front and 65 percent to the rear. The result was a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just over five seconds, which at the time placed the Typhoon in the same class as numerous European sports cars. A total of just under 4,700 examples were produced, of which just under 2,500 during 1992.

There are small spots with the beginnings of rust in several places around the body. The biggest problem is the tailgate and the area around the rear window, where the rust, according to the seller, is both visible and extensive. The windows are in good condition.

Interior: The interior is stated to be in excellent condition, which also applies to the dashboard and headliner. The dashboard is free of warning lights, the trip meter works, and all seatbelts function as they should. The sound system and climate control are working, as is the rest of the electronics.

Tires and wheels: Tires and wheels are, according to the seller, in good condition.

Mechanics and function: The engine is described as being in excellent condition and starts and runs faultlessly. The transmission is also stated to be in excellent condition and shifts without issue. The brakes are in good condition. The car is drivable as it stands and has passed inspection.
