Basic information and history

The Audi quattro S2 Coupé is one of the most sought-after street versions of the brand's five-cylinder turbo era. The registration process in Sweden was time-consuming with the regulations for approval at the time; the car was ordered in May 1991 and registered in Sweden in May 1992. The total cost before the car was registered is said to have exceeded one million kronor. The car has been very well cared for since new, and the three owners the car has had since it was ordered in 1991 all know each other .

The seller, who is a passionate Audi fan and runs his own workshop, tells a personal anecdote about when he went to a party at his in-laws' house many years ago. The father-in-law, who knew that the seller appreciated Audis, told him that his father-in-law had a similar car in his garage, "but it was wider over the fenders". The seller couldn't believe what he was hearing. A real Abt!?

It turned out that the father-in-law's father-in-law was the one who helped the first buyer order and bring the car back from Germany! The original buyer had had his Ur-quattro stolen and needed to find a replacement. The local Audi dealer had just received some promotion material for an Abt C5 from Audi's "house tuner" Abt and of course it was going to be one of those.

Since 2013, the car has only covered 3000 km! When purchased, an extensive binder with documents, history and period material is included, including brochures from Audi about the Abt C5 and the Abt accessories catalog (see pictures under Documents) .

Condition

Body and exterior: Generally good paint condition. When Abt rebuilt the car in 1991, they repainted the entire car except for the roof, which is now considered needing polishing to match the rest of the finish. Glass is in good condition. Moldings, headlight lenses and emblems are considered to be in very good condition. There is a small crack in the widened part of the front bumper, just in front of the right front wheel. According to the seller's description, it was due to "light contact with a snowbank". Repair can be carried out in connection with the sale, by agreement. See pictures for your own assessment.

Interior: Unworn original impression. Custom-made half-leather upholstery, according to the seller. Headlining in undamaged original condition, but with a few dirt spots above the rear seat. The paint on the instrument panels has peeled off slightly, but new original panels are included or can be fitted by agreement. The gear lever knob shows some traces of wear. Tires and rims: Tires are reported to be in new condition. The rims were completely renovated in 2013 and appear to be in very good condition. See pictures for your own assessment .

Mechanics and function: The engine runs well, according to the seller. It was carefully renovated and optimized by renowned Audi specialist ACE Competition in 2001. The gearbox and drivetrain show normal wear for the mileage. The brakes are new. Otherwise, no known mechanical deviations apart from the previously mentioned lighting in the trip computer.

Service history

The service book is filled out according to the manufacturer's intervals according to the seller. Previous service records, history and receipts are in a comprehensive binder that is attached to the car.

Latest inspection with approved results is dated 2025-08-04. The brakes are new, according to the seller. Service can be performed in connection with the sale, as agreed.
