Basic information and history
The Porsche 944 S2, model year 1991 , represents the final development phase of the 944 series and combines a transaxle layout, near-perfect weight distribution and one of the most advanced naturally aspirated four-cylinder engines of the time. The S2 was introduced in 1989 with a 3.0-liter 16-valve straight four-cylinder engine that was the largest series-produced naturally aspirated four-cylinder in the world at the time of its launch. The combination of engine, chassis and transaxle gave the S2 a well-balanced character with high cornering speed and great driving pleasure. The performance is still relevant today with 0 to 100 km/h around 6 seconds.
The example in this auction is imported and registered in Sweden on 2000-12-20; country of origin is unknown. The odometer reading is 292,070 km and can be guaranteed. The last known previous owner before the current one is said to have owned the car since 2019. The current seller purchased the car at an auction and has limited ownership history.
