Basic information and history
The Lotus Omega is one of the most legendary performance monsters to ever leave the 90s automotive world. With its aggressive design, uncompromising performance and cult status, this is an icon that is extremely rarely offered for sale and even rarer to find on the Swedish market. Bilsport magazine noted when the first Lotus Omegas came to Sweden, and now you have the chance to acquire one of the extremely few examples yourself.
This example is a 1991 Lotus Omega that was originally delivered to Germany. There it had only one previous user plus dealer ownership before being imported to Sweden in 2004. In Sweden the car has had two owners. The odometer reading is 133,501 km and can be guaranteed .
The car is largely untouched from its original design, with the exception of a few improvements (see below). As a bonus, original parts such as tailpipes, original radio (including code) and the Opel emblem for the hood are included - these can be refitted for the cabin. New spare parts such as timing chain and engine oil filter, as well as a workshop manual, are included.
Equipment and options
- Fully original equipment
- Original radio with code (included)
- Workshop manual
- Extra tailpipe (original, included)
- Opel emblem for the hood (included)
- Extra timing chain and engine oil filter (new, included)
Modifications and improvements: According to the seller, the car has only deviated from the original through two well-chosen upgrades: The radiator has been changed to an aluminum version for improved cooling, and the exhaust system has been replaced (original parts are included for restoration).
Condition
Body and exterior: The car has some signs of use such as stone chips on the front and a parking damage on the left rear door. A small dent is found on the left rear door. The windows are original and in good condition. The hood currently carries a Vauxhall emblem, but an Opel emblem is included. The moldings, headlight lenses and other details are well preserved for the age.
Interior: The interior is completely original and in good condition, with the exception of the headliner which is hanging at the edges. The steering wheel, buttons and controls are also original and in good condition.
Tires and rims: Tires in very good condition. Rims have minor scratches, but are only cosmetic.
Mechanics and function: The engine is continuously serviced. The timing chain should be replaced - new one included. The brakes have renovated calipers and new discs and pads (2020). The gearbox and driveline are original and work as they should.
Service history
Regular service has been performed during the car's lifetime . The last service was performed in the summer of 2024. The brakes received an extensive renovation in 2020 (brake calipers, discs and pads).
Previous service records, history and receipts are collected and available to the buyer.
The car has recently been inspected and approved on 2024-07-09.
Summary
For those looking for a well-maintained and highly interesting collector's item, this Lotus Omega is a given. Combined history from Germany and Sweden, high originality, documented service and many unique accessories make this an excellent example for both enthusiast ownership and long-term investment.
