Basic information and history

The 1982 Chevrolet Corvette Collector Edition is an icon of American sports cars and a sought-after collector's item - the final year of the C3 generation, the Collector Edition model stands out with unique details and special paint. For those looking for a classic Corvette with potential both in the collection and on the road, this is an excellent opportunity.

This example is imported from the USA and has had three previous users according to the seller. The odometer reading is 92,358 km and this can be guaranteed. The current owner has been careful with the driving so as not to exceed 10,000 km , which shows careful handling. Something else worth mentioning is that the car has not been driven more than about 1000 km during the current owner's time.

The Collector Edition model is characterized by a targa design with a removable glass roof, special emblems and paintwork, and is seen as a stepping stone into the next era of the Corvette.

Equipment and options

  1. Collector Edition – unique paint (Silver Beige Metallic) and emblem
  2. Targa (removable glass roof)
  3. Original equipment for the model – no retrofitted options

Modifications and improvements: No known retrofits, the model is essentially original. The seats have been restored. The paint has not been repainted to the seller's knowledge, but the car has been reconditioned on two occasions.

Condition

Body and exterior condition: The paint is in generally good condition but there are cracks on the black part of the bonnet and a small mark (approx. 3 cm) next to the lights on the right rear, probably after a minor impact. There is some paint loss on the mouldings around the windscreen, probably due to weather and wind. No visible rust in the body, but the seller has not checked under the car. The windscreen has a small stone chip far down towards the bonnet.

Interior: The interior is in 7 out of 10 condition according to the seller. The chairs are restored, but there are minor scuff marks on both the seat cushion and the top of the backrest (see pictures). The glass roof and targa arch are in good condition, as are the steering wheel, controls and buttons.

Tires and rims: The tires look nice but are older as they have been on since the current owner bought the car and have only been driven about 1000 kilometers.

Mechanics and function: The engine has never had any problems according to the seller, but no deeper technical insight is available. The brakes pull slightly to the left, probably due to the car having been standing still for a long time (about 7 years). The gearbox and driveline have also not shown any problems during the current owner's use.

Service history

The last service was reportedly carried out in 2018 by a friend of the owner at a Mekonomen workshop. There are no previous service records or receipts, but a purchase contract from the current owner is available. The last approved inspection was carried out on 2013-09-19. During the current owner's time, the car has only been driven sparingly and has been parked a lot, which should be taken into account before continuing to drive.

Summary

This 1982 Chevrolet Corvette Collector Edition offers you the chance to acquire a classic with the right collector's model, original feel and modest mileage. The car is being sold by an enthusiast who has cherished the car's mileage and has not burdened it unnecessarily. For those looking for one of the last C3s, with original details and an intact history, this is a unique opportunity.
