Basic information and history
Dodge Power Wagon Macho – statement and icon in one! When Dodge launched the Power Wagon Macho Edition from 1977 to 1981, it was something completely new – a truck built to be seen, for fun and adventure rather than just work. The Macho package was not just a decorative option, but an attitude towards life. With bold stripes, a powerful rollbar with additional lights and a 5.9-liter V8 under the hood, these rare cars quickly became collector's items. Finding a Macho Power Wagon today, preserved in its original style and still ready to drive, is a stroke of luck for any enthusiast!
This example is a genuine Macho Edition , produced in a very limited edition. The odometer shows 173,950 km . The original number of users is unknown , but the vehicle is currently registered in the Netherlands (inspected and approved late 2024) and has EU papers in order.
Fun fact: The Macho Power Wagon was created specifically for the young, adventurous driver with a love of off-roading and style. Each Macho was built at the factory – no dealer add-ons – making them some of the most sought-after classic pickups on the market.
In short: an excellent opportunity for those who want something rare, well-kept and well-loved in the garage!

Condition
Body and exterior: The paint is in good condition with strong, bold colors and a nice sheen. However, there is some clearcoat peeling on the fenders, doors and on the bed rails – not unusual for original 1970s paint, but noticeable up close.
The chrome, moldings, emblems and headlight glass show normal signs of use and age, but overall it is in very good condition for its age. The glass panes are original and without cracks.
Interior: The interior of the car is in good used condition – a “solid driver” in pristine original condition. The steering wheel and controls are in good condition with normal signs of use. The headliner is flawless. However, the driver's armrest mat has a minor tear.
Tires & rims: Almost new BF Goodrich All Terrain tires mounted, ready for both asphalt and terrain.
Mechanical & Function: The engine (5.9L V8) runs very well – smooth, strong and with a lovely classic sound. Brakes, automatic transmission and 4x4 drivetrain work as they should, and the car drives really nicely both on the road and on off-road excursions.
Service history
The last service was carried out late 2024 in connection with Dutch registration and inspection, where the car was approved. Further inspection/service will be carried out before delivery to the new owner. Previous service records and history are missing, but the car has been recently serviced and inspected prior to sale.
