A meticulously kept driving log (see photos) is included, documenting the car’s journey from 1978, when it had 4,150 km, up until 1995 with an odometer reading of 99,570 km. All services and refueling have been carefully recorded. This Mercedes has been maintained with great care and is an excellent choice for someone seeking a classic car with documented history and continuous maintenance.
Condition
The car is described to be in very good condition, close to like-new. The body is free of dents and deep scratches, and there is no rust. The paint is in good condition with only a few minor touch-ups, as shown in the photos. The car has been repainted from the waistline down, but it does not appear that there were any major damages before the repainting. A trim on the rear edge of the driver’s door is damaged, but the rims are undamaged. The tires are in great condition with good tread depth.
The interior is near mint. The seats are undamaged, the headliner is flawless, and the steering wheel, controls, and buttons are in excellent condition. The engine runs quietly and smoothly without any issues. However, there is some vibration from the center bearing of the drive shaft at speeds over 80 km/h. The brakes work evenly and smoothly without any vibrations during braking.
Service History
The oil, oil filter, spark plugs, points, condenser, and ignition cables were changed in June 2024. All service is thoroughly documented. The car was inspected on June 24, 2024, without any remarks and is now inspected for life.
