Basic information and history
The S30-generation Datsun 240Z established 1970s Japanese sports coupes as serious alternatives to European icons. The combination of low weight, distinctive long-hooded bodywork and the L24, a 2.4-liter straight-six with dual carburetors, provided an engaging and well-balanced driving experience. The European version offered a five-speed manual transmission and a more stripped-down aesthetic, something that has long been appreciated by knowledgeable enthusiasts.
This Swedish-sold example is, according to the seller, one of the few remaining "Euro Spec" that was delivered original with a five-speed manual transmission, front spoiler, rear wing, factory-fitted stiffer suspension and damping, km/h meter, passenger footrest, Euro Spec turn signals, removable antenna, passenger footrest and go-fast handle in the passenger door.
The odometer reading is stated to be 130,000 km and can be guaranteed. The seller also states that the car is one of only twenty-five cars that Philipsons brought into Sweden. It graced the cover of Nissan's customer magazine in 1984 and was then stored away on a moisture-proof sand floor for over three decades, before being put back into use. The car has reportedly been stored in a heated garage for a long time, which has preserved the finish and feel. All original details such as km/h instrumentation and passenger footrest are still present and underline the authentic Euro Spec character.

Interior: The interior is in good condition. The seats have new upholstery and the carpets are new, while other interior details are original and well preserved. The headliner is clean and intact. The steering wheel, controls and buttons are in original condition with normal patina and are reported to function as they should.

Mechanics and function: The L24 engine starts easily and runs smoothly through the register according to the seller. No known leaks or noises. The Z Story exhaust system provides a rich sound and improved throughput. The five-speed manual transmission works well and the drivetrain feels collected, not least thanks to new bushings in the chassis. The brakes have good bite, are thorough and the function of the brakes was confirmed at the last inspection with no complaints on the brakes.
Service history
The service book is stated to be completed according to the manufacturer's intervals. The last service was carried out in 2025 with a change of engine oil, oil filter and differential oil. There is an extensive history binder with receipts and documentation that accompanies the car. The seller further states that the car graced the cover of Nissan's customer magazine in 1984 and was then parked for over thirty years on a moisture-proof sand floor, which constitutes an interesting part of the car's history.
