With only 1,512 examples produced, this model proves that AMC dared to challenge the giants with its own dragstrip-ready challenger. Plus, it comes in the iconic red, white and blue “A-scheme” paint job that makes it look like a firework on wheels—and that ’s no exaggeration!
This example has 80,666 kilometers on the odometer and comes from a solid AMC collection in the Netherlands . Previous ownership history is unknown, but the car's condition and authenticity indicate that it has been preserved with passion and respect for its unique place in the automotive world.
A curious fact worth mentioning: the SC/Rambler was so unconventional that AMC dealers had to reassure customers that the color scheme wasn't a publicity stunt—there simply was n't a discreet version . All were sold as bold statements, and even today the car attracts enormous attention.
