Basic information and History
1927 Pontiac that probably started life as a Pontiac Six. The car is being sold from an estate as the builder has unfortunately passed away. The information may therefore be more sparse than our other items. The car has been rebuilt for a long time by a careful and knowledgeable car builder and is today in a fantastic condition and custom look. The engine has been replaced with a considerably sharper stove, a Chevrolet TPI 350 with a supercharger and an estimated 500+ hp.

Condition
The car comes in a very good and well-built condition. The paintwork is unremarkable apart from washing scratches which are clearly visible in the black paintwork. Chrome parts are in good condition. Glass panes and lantern glass as well. Classic American Racing 5 spokes in good condition with plenty of remaining tread on the tires. Sunroof from Mercedes-Benz is installed and can of course be opened.
The interior of the car is in very good condition. Door sides are covered in red and the Recaro seats have been reupholstered in red plush and leather on the sides. In the front edge of the roof there are extra gauges installed as well as a stereo unit.
Mechanically, the car is in very good condition. The engine has received Bosch injection and a compressor and is said to have been benched to between 500-600hp. Both front and rear come from a Jaguar XJ6, which is common on custom builds.

Var kan bilen ses innan tiden för auktionen går ut?
Hej. Den finns i ett garage/verkstad i Hjo.
Hej är det någon som vet vad det sitter för växellåda i bilen och utväxling i bakaxeln ?. Mvh Micke
Vet bara att det sitter en Jaguarbakaxel och att det är automat. Vet inget om utväxling.
Är bilen registrerad och godkänd att använda i trafiken i det utförande som visas på bilderna? Jag ser inget om besiktningsuppgifter (senast godkända besiktning) när jag söker på bilen.
Har bilen varit försäkrad? I så fall var?
Bilen är registrerad som en Pontiac 1927 (besiktningsbefriad) den står i Transportstyerlsen register som "I trafik" och utan användningsförbud. Bilen kördes alltid av tidigare ägare till div. träffar och utställningar.
Bilen har naturligtvis varit försäkrad. Kan dock inte svara på var.
Är växellåda också från en modernare cheva med överväger?
Kan tyvärr inte med säkerhet uttala mig om växellåda. Däremot vet jag att allt byggdes med bästa material så det skulle förvåna mig om inte både låda och motor kommer från samma donatorbil och renoverats under byggtiden.
Svar på tidigare fråga: Bilen är försäkrad hos If.
Går det att få måtten på baksätet? Det ser ut som om sitsen är längre/djupare än vad ryggstödet är högt.
Är framstolarna i normalposition? Det ser ut att vara väldigt gott om plats fram till instrumentbrädan men det kanske är pga av kameraobjektivet? Vad är det för avstånd från baksidan av framstolarna till sitsen i baksätet? Jag försöker få en bild av hur det kan vara att sitta i baksätet.
Sitter lite illa till under f.m. Skall försöka mäta under e.m.
Svar på tidigare fråga om vxl.låda. Hittade en uppgift från en utställning 700 4R. Förarstolen står väldigt långt bak på bilderna. När jag sitter normalt 180 cm lång är det ett benutrymme bak på 29 cm. Bakstätets sits är 53 cm djup, ryggen är 45 cm hög och 62 cm inkl. nackstöden. Sitter rätt bra i baksätet, ryggen går upp till mitten av skulderbladen. Insteget i bak är krångligt!
