Background & Basic information
An authentic Lincoln town car Limousine St Tropez built by American Custom Coachworks, a true classic that you have probably seen on the movie screen.
Since new, part of a private collection, and has to date only 6800 miles on the odometer.
The car runs great in the engine and gearbox. The engine is a 4.8L V8 with an
overhead cam that generates 210 hp.
With only one user since new, it has always been stored in a warm garage and in a dry climate in Spanish. Now, however, the car is in Stockholm. The car is delivered Swedish registered. Previously registered in Morocco.
American Custom Coachworks (ACC), Hollywood, California 1953-2003
In the late seventies, this company was the largest custom coachbuilder in the United States. While building a number of extended limousines and commercial vehicles, the bulk of their business consisted of converting steel-top coupes into convertibles. They worked exclusively for Ford, Cadillac and Lincoln-Mercury dealers. It took about six weeks to complete a conversion. The customers were usually corporate customers of casinos, hotels, companies, limousine services, heads of state, royal families, film studios, celebrities and oil-rich private individuals like this car.
Equipment
This example is painted in dark blue with gray leather upholstery. It is a four-seater at the rear with its own bar and partition that goes up
electronically at the push of a button if you want to be private between the driver and passengers.
Glass roof, panels in wood inspiring material, internal telephone, storage compartment for your best drinking glasses.
After arriving in Sweden, the car has received a new battery, undergone a full service and is now ready to hit the roads.
Condition:
The window on the driver's side does not open, the window lift motor runs but probably gets no grip.
The gear selector can be difficult to get out of P-mode at times.
There are some scratch marks on the body as well as some minor rust (see photos)
Inside, the car is in good condition. The tires are probably from when the car was new, so if
you want to use the car, it can be a good idea to replace them.
Service documentation
Since the car was in a museum and barely used, there is no service history.
Previous owners in the 70s-90s were dealers for Lincoln and Rolls Royce abroad, so they themselves have serviced all the cars in the former private collection.
Upon arrival in Sweden, the car has been inspected and a full service has been performed.
The car is now undergoing registration in Sweden. The car will be delivered Swedish-registered.
