Basic information and history

BMW 635 CSi from 1986 in good used condition. The car was imported from Germany in 2002 and has had four owners on Swedish soil. In Germany, the car had five owners, two of which were companies. Today the car has driven approx. 269277km. Current owner has had the car since 2009, driven approx. 80,000km and has also made long journeys through Europe, including to meetings in Austria and France. The car has had the honor of taking a lap around the Nordschleife and on parts of the legendary Le Mans circuit in connection with the trips. A very nice long-distance stroller that runs well regardless of speed!

The 635 CSi comes with a 3.5-liter straight six of approx. 218hp/310nm mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive.

Equipment and options

Equipped with, among other things, A/C, electric lifts, electric mirrors and on-board computer. Otherwise, the following selections are available in the options list:

Condition

The car comes in good used condition with various wear from the years and various rust, but the car gives a good impression. There is various rust, including surface rust under the molding in the lower left corner of the window. The current owner has checked that the hinge is still intact, although with surface rust. Small stain at the bottom edge of the left rear light, bubbles in the paint at and around the wheel arches and at the bottom of the body, under the gills/kidneys in the front and a little at the top of the windshield. Various stone chips and small bumps are here and there, but overall, as mentioned earlier, the car gives a good impression. The car has been rusted on the rear underside of both gearboxes. The chrome is in good condition for its age. The front chrome has been replaced with a new, fresh part and the chrome frame around one rear light has been changed to a better used one. The original rims have been replaced with three-part split rims, model OZ Ruote Futura in size 17x8.5 inches, ET 13, which were completely renovated in 2020 by Intera. The rims are shod in Michelin Primacy in size 235/45, manufactured week 4 2019 with approx. 5mm pattern depth left. The track has even wear.

The general condition of the interior is described as very good. The original seats have been replaced with M seats from a BMW 328Ci and the leather rear seat is from a 635 from 1981. The seats are in good condition with minor wear from indentation and distension of the driver's seat. The instrument panel has a crack closest to the pane, to the right of the cluster. The sun visor on the right side has loosened around the mirror. Inner ceiling in good condition. A/C works as it should. The switch for the passenger compartment fan, on the other hand, lacks stepless adjustment and is only on or off. Door panels in good condition. The original stereo has been replaced by a Pioneer with USB and Bluetooth. The raising and lowering function for the dipped beam is unfortunately out of order. The lights are set at the correct height.

Mechanically, the engine is described as being in good condition. Starter motor and water pump replaced by current owner. Gearbox and drivetrain are described as being in good condition. Current owner has replaced clutch cylinder incl. hose to container and the slave cylinder that was replaced in spring 2022. Discs and pads replaced approx. 2016. At speeds above 120km/h the ABS light comes on. The chassis has recieved some love and the front shock absorbers, lower link arms, stabilizer bar, complete steering link, bushings for support arms, bushings for attachment to the beam, bushings above the rear axle block and the last part on the exhaust system were changed to a new one.

Service history

The car just got new brake fluid. Exactly one year ago, oil and filter service was done. There are stamps in the book from the time in Germany. Current owner has performed all service on his own. The last inspection was carried out on 2024-04-23 without any comments. All inspection protocols are available from the time in Sweden.

A fantastic GT wagon in good used condition! Works fine in its current condition or as a perfect rolling project if you like to tinker with minor renovations and fixes.
