Basic information and history

BMW 525E from 1985 which was imported from France in 2016. The car has had 5 owners on Swedish soil, of which the current owner has had the car since 2018. According to information, the car only had one owner in France where it was driven in the southern part and therefore survived well from getting eaten by rust. Total odometer reading today is 242579km.

Equipped with a 2.7-liter straight six of approx. 120hp/230nm linked to a four-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive.

Condition

The car was repainted sometime in 2016-2017 in original Achat-grün and is today described as very good for its age. The body is free of dents, worse scratches and door hinges and gives a good overall impression. According to the owner, there are small spots of rust that are barely noticeable. The paintwork is in very good condition with only minor remarks, including minor scratches behind the right rear wheel and some running on the fender edge. Moldings are in good condition but there are scratches in the plastic on the front and rear bumpers. On the driver's door there is a painted over hole from a lock piston. Glass panes are in good condition but there are some scratches that have come from age. Chrome in good condition. The split rims, BBS RC090 in good condition with tires if described to be in good condition.

The interior is in good condition for its age. Black leather seats from an E34 with normal age wear and without any holes or tears. Instrument panel in good condition with only two small holes in it, probably from mobile phone holders or similar. The steering wheel is new. Buttons and controls in good condition. Door sides in good condition. Inner ceiling in good condition. All electronics in the passenger compartment work as they should.

Engine is described as being in very good condition. Driveline and gearbox as well. Brakes are said to have been changed when the car arrived in Sweden.

Service history

The last service was carried out in the fall of 2023. In connection with the service, the front shock absorbers and springs were replaced. The car lacks a service book, but previous service must have been carried out by Per Larsson Motorteknik in Stockholm. Last inspection took place in March 2024 with approved travel permit.
