1986 Audi Quattro Rally Replica – Converted from a Genuine Urquattro

Basic Information and History

This unique 1986 Audi Quattro is a rally replica built from a genuine Urquattro and was imported from England in 2008. The owner personally collected the car from Ingolstadt – Audi’s hometown – and brought it home with great enthusiasm.

The car has been registered as a standard rally vehicle with the Swedish Transport Agency (Svensk Bilprovning) since 2009. This means it may be driven on public roads, provided the driver holds a valid competition license in accordance with the regulations of the Swedish Motorsport Federation.

Since then, the vehicle has been rebuilt into an authentic rally replica and has only been used for exhibitions and events since 2010. It has not been driven on the road after the respray and has been stored indoors ever since.

Equipment and Modifications

The car has been extensively modified to resemble a classic Group 4 rally car and is equipped with:

1. Wide Group 4-style fender flares
2. Front spoiler
3. Rally-style modified dashboard
4. Plastic windows (except for the original windshield)
5. Modern fuel injection system with new injectors
6. New clutch disc (original clutch system)
7. Rally-inspired interior with no headliner

The engine work was carried out by Halvarsson Racing, and the engine has been both rebuilt and optimized with a focus on performance.

Condition

Bodywork: In good condition with no dents, scratches, or rust. No restoration or welding has been performed, and the car retains its unique character from the rebuild.

Paint: Repainted in 2010. In excellent condition, as the car has never been stored outside or driven on the road since the repaint.

Interior: Rally-inspired and in good condition, with clean door panels, seats, and steering wheel. No headliner.

Electronics: Some wiring is not yet completed. A few buttons are non-functional.

Mechanics: The fuel injection system needs mapping for optimal performance. Brakes, gearbox, and clutch are in good condition – original components with a new clutch disc.

Service History

The engine was rebuilt in 2012 and has seen very little use since. No service intervals are documented in the service book. Last inspected as a standard rally car in 2009.
