I am interested in the 1967 Volkswagen 1500 and I would like to know a little more about its mechanical condition before bidding.
Could you please tell me:
What is the current condition of the engine? Does it run well, without abnormal noises, oil leaks or excessive smoke?
Is the gearbox working properly? Do all gears engage correctly without noises or jumping out of gear?
What is the condition of the front and rear suspension, steering and brakes?
Can the car be driven immediately for a long journey, or would you recommend transporting it?
In your opinion, is the car currently reliable and regularly driven?
Could you also please send me some photos of the engine and, if possible, a clear photo of the engine number/code?

Hello, the engine is in great condition and runs smoothly.
The engine has undergone a light overhaul, meaning all gaskets and bearings have been replaced and been cleaned.
There are no leaks or smoke issues.
There are no unusual noises from the engine or transmission, it shifts smoothly, and there is nothing negative to say about the drivetrain. Many parts are new, as the entire vehicle has undergone a complete restoration.
The front and rear suspension are in like-new condition. The braking system has been refurbished, featuring new brake discs, pads, and front calipers.
The car can be driven long distances without issues, I have driven it a long way myself but given that it is in show-quality condition, I would recommend transporting it.

Regarding the engine photos, I can only see pictures of the underside of the engine in the ad. I don’t see any photos from above with the engine lid open.

Bilen är sänkt och det är säkert många som uppskattar detta men för min del vill jag helst ha bilen i normalhöjd. Är det komplicerat att återställa bilen till ursprunglig höjd?

Det är inte jag som byggt bilen men jag har även bilder under när de lackade hela underredet samt hela karossen har vart plåtren så den är grymt fin i lack! Färgen heter Jetstream Blue och sitter på Corvette C6 original🙂
