Basic information and History

Volvo's 9 series was a sought-after replacement for its predecessor and even though a lot of technology was included, the model received many updates in both safety and comfort. What was also left was the now recognizable "boxy but safe" design language!

This is a Swedish-sold example with very low miles and the coveted SE package with only 2(!) owners since new. The first owner who bought the car new in 1995 was a mechanic at a Volvo workshop in Fagersta and took very good care of the car during his years and also documented it well. The seller bought it from the estate of the first owner and has also taken good care of this fantastically nice car and continued to add to the documentation over the years.

The car was delivered in stylish and rare Amethyst metallic and a sober black leather/cloth interior which is in very good condition.

Condition

Exterior: The seller says that the car is in a very good original condition with no damage and apparently still has the original paint. Noted is a small applied stone chip in the front and a mark on the rear bumper in the lower left corner. Mao a super fine condition for an almost 30-year-old car that has been driven on public roads and is of course also completely rust-free in the body. Rims are the original wheels and are completely free of edge scratches and the like. Interior: The interior is also in fantastic original condition with few signs of use. The black leather is without any particular wear and all plastic details and functions are in the same fully functional and fine condition. Mechanics: The car runs fantastically well in both engine and gearbox and has a very well-documented history and original service book. Newly inspected without remarks 2023/03/23 and last timing belt service 2020/03 at Bilia. All brakes are in good condition and the tires were changed in connection with the timing belt change and have only driven a couple of hundred miles since then. Summary

A really nice icon and part of Swedish car history. There are few objects left with such low miles and such good condition as this one, which almost guarantees that this will be a fine investment for the future. The car does just as well in a museum as it does on the road as a really fun and classic daily driver!
