Basic information and History

SAAB 9-3 Aero 2.0T Cabriolet imported from Germany in 2004 and has driven just under 116,985 km since new. The car was privately imported as a new vehicle in 2004 and the current owner can guarantee the mileage. The first owner was a mechanic at SAAB in the early 2000s and got because car shortage in Sweden import one under own auspices. The car comes in a nice used condition and has a fully completed service book. A very attractive example for those looking for a Swedish convertible with the right engine and equipment!

Equipped with a 2-liter turbo inline four of approx. 210hp/300nm connected to a 5-speed manual gearbox and front wheel drive. Performance figures offer a sprint to 100 km/h in 9 seconds and a top speed of approx. 230km/h. Front and rear lights are OEM facelift parts.

Equipment and Options

Well equipped with, among other things, multifunction steering wheel, cruise control, Aero package, electric cab, leather interior, electrically adjustable seats with memory on the driver's seat, electric lifts and electric mirrors. The car has also received a facelifted front, front and rear lights for a nicer and more modern look.

Condition

The general condition of the body is described by the owner as good and free from rust. When documenting the car, a few remarks were found, including the normal small amount of stone chips in the front and scratches on the left and right side of the bottom of the front, damaged front splitter, scratches on the lower edge of the skirt on the left side, in front of the rear wheel and a small scratch behind. The soft top is nice considering the year. In general, the black paint is in good condition considering the age and mileage, as well as the fact that black is a harder paint to keep in good condition. The car has survived door slams. According to the current owner's knowledge, the car has not needed any renovations due to crash damage or the like. Window glass is in good condition, as is lamp glass. The rims are in good condition with minor scratches. The summer tires from Bridgestone in size 235/45/18 are one year old and have a tread depth of approx. 6-7mm remaining.

The interior is described as being in very good condition. The chairs are free of damage and the leather looks good. Door sides are in good condition without normal wear such as e.g. scratches in plastic from cutting in and out. Instrument panel, buttons and controls in good working condition with normal wear considering the age of the car. Step moldings in good condition without the usual dull wear.

Engine is described by the owner as being in very good condition. It has not been modified or optimized. Both gearbox and driveline are described as very good and are without noise or the like. Brakes are also described as very good. Mechanically, everything works as it should.

Service history

The car comes with a fully filled out service book and was last serviced on 2023-04-10 when the odometer read 113690km, i.e. for approx. 3300km ago. It comes with plenty of documentation and inspection papers since the car was new. Last inspection was carried out on 2024-03-04, of course with blank paper.

Summary

This is the SAAB convertible for those who want to find a well-equipped, well-maintained example with few owners and good mileage. This is most likely a future collector's car in SAAB circles and can hopefully end up with someone who appreciates a nice SAAB.
