Basic Information & Background

The Jaguar E-type is one of the car world's true style icons and many consider the model to be one of the world's most beautiful cars ever made. This car is one of the most sought after Series 1 versions with the 4.2 liter straight six engine driving the rear wheels via the 4 speed manual transmission and offering great speed resources and an incredible amount of character.

When the model was launched, it was received with applause and every celebrity in the world wanted one. Amazing performance, beautiful design and also with a solid racing history.

The car was originally sold in the USA and then ended up in Denmark where it has undergone an incredibly nice full restoration and is now presented in this amazingly nice condition. It came to Sweden in 2016 and the seller has in turn fixed it further to an incredibly high level of attention to detail and quality. Fine specimens like this really don't grow on trees and it really is what you would call a true "driver" in absolute top condition. A Heritage Certificate is included which proves all the numbers in the car and previous history.


Condition

Exterior: The car is in an incredibly nice and renovated condition. The car has received a complete body renovation where nothing has been left untouched and the result was very satisfactory.

Glass parts are in top condition and there are no remarks on moldings, chrome or emblems without all parts being perceived as being in absolutely new condition. Even the stylish and contemporary original wheels are in as good condition as the rest of the car! The roof has of course been replaced and is both cosmetically and aesthetically in top condition. Interior: The interior is also in incredibly fine condition with very little signs of use on the driver's seat and surrounding areas. The dashboard and other parts of the interior are in top condition with no complaints, carpets were recently replaced by the seller and the car can be used and enjoyed just as it is for many years to come. Noticed that the wheel wash is not switched on. Convertible top has been replaced. Dense and fine without remarks. Mechanically: The seller says that the car is in top mechanical condition and the engine/box runs fantastically well and has been serviced. When you look at the car, you can see that all mechanical parts have been tested, as well as the electrical system and other peripherals, and the car feels 100% solid and well put together. There are no leaks noted, which is otherwise common for these models and is usually described as "these cars mark territory". The engine pulls very well through the entire register and the gearbox has neither scraping nor noise. Even aesthetically, the engine, drivetrain and, not least, the underside have been carefully reviewed and the car could easily have been mistaken for a brand new car.

Last service was carried out by the seller in 2022 and has been used very sparingly since then and there is no previous service record. The car was last inspected in 2022 and is now both tax and inspection exempt. The mileage is about 23,700 km but is not guaranteed by the seller. As previously mentioned, there is also the Heritage Certificate which shows that all the numbers are correct. These highly sought after Series 1 cars continue to increase in price and there are good reasons to invest in one today. This is today very classic for the money and nice refurbished examples like these don't grow on trees!
