The Gilera 50cc Competizione was created as a tough 50cc bike fast enough to win most standard races. Among other things, the model is known for riding in the 6-day enduro race in the 70s in the USA. Some parts on the cycle is made of titanium, and during manufacturing, welding work had to be carried out in chambers emptied of oxygen. This is thus a pure race bike and cannot be registered for legal street use.
This 1967 model was sold new in Italy and is said to have had only one previous owner. Worth noting is that some parts of the bike are made from titanium and the vehicle comes with an original patina.

Condition
The bike comes with its original patina and some parts have been replaced, including new fenders and covers in aluminium. Also included in the package are new titanium axles for the front and rear axles as well as swing arm mechanism and press tools for the side covers. The current owner describes the bike as being in usable condition. Tires and rims are undamaged and come with approx. 8mm pattern depth. Engine, gearbox and brakes are described as being in excellent condition. However, the saddle has a tear in the seat cushion and the dashboard is described as being in good condition.
