Basic information and History

The Dodge Stealth RT/T was a high-performance sports car manufactured by Chrysler in partnership with Mitsubishi Motors. It was produced from 1991 to 1996 as part of the joint Dodge Stealth and Mitsubishi 3000GT project. The Stealth RT/T was one of the highest trim levels for the Dodge Stealth. About 8,600 cars were produced of this version between 1991-1993. Significantly fewer cars remain in traffic today. Registered in Germany February 1994 and exported to Finland in 2008. The car has had 5 previous owners. This specimen has undergone a major renovation where an incredible amount of time and money has been invested by the seller.The car is registered in Finland and is in Helsinki, but can be delivered to Stockholm by boat if the buyer so wishes.

This Dodge Stealth is equipped with a 3-liter twin-turbo V6, engine code 6G72, with original power of approx. 300hp/420nm coupled. The car has received various upgrades which are detailed below. Today's effect amounts to approx. 430hp/625nm. All-wheel drive ensures that the power comes down the hill and gear changes are handled manually via a 5-speed gearbox. With the stated power, performance figures show 0-100km/h in approx. 4 seconds and the top speed is approx. 250km/h.

Equipment and options

The engine is completely rebuilt with forged internals to handle up to 800 hp at 119.000 miles by the company ST-Services. The car was converted at 128k miles to run on E85/flexifuel. The tuning of the car was done by ST-Services & Sporttiauto. Power is today, as previously mentioned, approx. 430hp/625nm at 1.3bar. The car has been registered and approved in Finland with effect from today.

At 128,000 miles ECU was upgraded to Link 4GX Evo3/3000GT plug in ECU with OBD2 & USB for monitoring, logging and tuning. Both turbo units have been replaced with 2 x TD-04 15G Billet Turbos.

Larger more powerful injectors in the form of Bosch EV14-1000cc-L11 are fitted to ensure the engine gets enough fuel at full acceleration. At 128,000 miles the spark plugs were also changed to Denso IK24 Iridium plugs, as well as new NGK cables. HKS DLI ignition amplifier. Ported heads fitted by ST-Services HKS Intercoolers & Silicone/RST piping. New exhaust system from Tanabe Medallion RST cat-back, RT free-flow Cat, 3SX/OBD Pre-cat pipe & Downpipe.

Drivetrain completely renewed and strengthened to handle over 800Nm of torque, including Spec Stage 3+ clutch, PST aluminum/steel driveshaft, and fully restored and strengthened gearbox by the company Jacks transmissions with 300M OS, MP Stage 2 transfer case mount.

This copy has been upgraded with extra equipment such as Sony Stereo 4x40w head unit - CD/SD/MP3/Aux/Blutooth AFR and Boost gauges in A-pillar. Programmable Link 4GX ECU, with logging & analysis, through USB connection with Windows software.

Condition

Cosmetically, the right side skirt has been repainted. The front lip has been repaired and repainted due to previous transport damage. Minor surface rust on some undercarriage parts that are not refurbished. However, this is normal considering the age of the car. Glass parts are in good condition. The paintwork is described as having minor scratches/marks on the front right side of the bonnet. Not visible at a distance of 1m.The seller has noted a 1cm thin scratch/line on the left fender. Barely visible at a distance of 1m. The roof has a thin scratch of a few cm, which is visible from 1m when looking directly from above. The paint has been renovated before it is imported to Finland. Probably 2007 in Germany. No remarks on chrome, moldings or emblems. No comments on lighting. The seller has noted rim scratches on the right front and right rear rim.

Dashboard and panel described as "Like all Stealths and 3000GTs, the windshield vents have cracking, but it is barely noticeable and does not affect the operation of the vents." Mechanically and electrically, the car works as it should. Renovations have been carried out on the inside: The odometer currently has 132kMiles. But this is very misleading as an indicator of the condition of the cars, as pretty much everything of significance has been refurbished and upgraded. Engine and transmission are described as "Both in excellent condition, completely rebuilt and rebuilt." The gearbox has run approx. 37,000 km and the engine has run 25,000 km after the renovation/rebuild.

Service history

Last service was performed at the end of April 2024. The oil has been changed in the engine and driveline and the brake fluid has been replaced. Service before took place on 2023-05-11 by ST-Service. Engine oil (Motul Xcess 5W50), complete oil change in the driveline (red line), AC refill, coolant flush and refill, K&N Air filter cleaned & oiled. Previous service records are available. Also oil change in engine and powertrain annually, regardless of mileage, (engine - Motul 5w50 Xcess, powertrain - red line). The car was last inspected in July 2024.

Summary

This car is probably one of the best examples in Europe of a restored and modernized 1st generation Dodge Stealth R/T TwinTurbo. (1992 model year, registered 1994). The car has been owned for the past 10 years by the same owner who has had the car upgraded substantially over the past 6 years. The seller estimates he has invested over €50,000 to restore and bring it up to today's sports car performance standards, while still retaining the original '90s look and feel. The work has been carried out by Finland's best commercial 3S shop, ST-Services. Mods and upgrades have been designed to have the car be usable on a daily basis, the feel on the road is very modern, the driving feel and experience is excellent and high speed through the corners feels completely planted, due to AWD, active suspension, stiffer anti-roll bars and LSD (Limited slip differential ) on both axes.

Overall, the Dodge Stealth RT/T was a high-performance sports car that combined power, technology and style. Its collaboration with Mitsubishi resulted in a car that offered an exhilarating driving experience and remains a sought-after vehicle among enthusiasts today.
