Basic information and History
Dodge Polara Custom from 1972 in a period correct sand color and light golden interior. 360-cubic-inch V8, packing approx. 180 hp connected to a 3-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. The odometer shows 36540 miles but unfortunately, as is relatively common among muscle cars, cannot be guaranteed. The car was imported in 2012 and has since had 6 previous owners. The current owner bought the car as the Polara is one of the more unusual models on our roads and also for the condition of the interior.

Equipment and Options

In addition to period-typical muscle car equipment, the car has a new stereo with Bluetooth option as well as new speakers, a substantial power amplifier and subwoofer.

Condition

The car is generally in good used condition and the seller informs that there is some normal wear and tear on the bodywork, e.g.; small dent right rear fender, minimal incipient rust at the rear window, small stone chip in the windshield and minimal paint chipping on the rear fender. The vehicle has probably been repainted sometime around 10 years ago. Chrome, moldings and emblems are in normal condition for their age without remark. The vinyl roof has signs of age, for example in the form of cracks in the paint. Otherwise, there is, among other things, normal wear around the wheel housing and between fender parts. The rims from American Racing are in good condition and the tires have approx. 7mm pattern depth left.

Regarding the interior, both sofas and door sides and roof lining are in good condition, but there are traces of use and age. Steering wheel, controls and wooden details the same. Instrument panel has typical dry cracks up against the window and damage to the driver. The cabin fan is unfortunately not working, but the heating and other controls work as intended. Overall, the interior looks nice and the choice of fabric with its gold tone is period charming!

Mechanically, the car is described as running very well in engine, gearbox and drivetrain. Leaks have not been noted on the vehicle. Brake pads and drums are described as being in mint condition. Under the hood, everything looks fine and no directly visible rust in sensitive areas. Even the underside of the vehicle bears witness of a good running condition. Previous service records or similar are not available, but overall condition shows that the car has been taken care of during use.
