Basic information and History

The El Camino was GM's answer to the Ford Ranchero model, a pickup / utility truck but built on a regular car platform with an integrated bed. The 4th generation as it is was largely based on the Chevelle Malibu and shares everything from powertrain to interior with the model.

This example was sold new in the USA and came to Sweden already in 1992 and had only 3 previous owners where the seller bought it in 2021. The seller also says that the car was owned by the actor John Wayne in his early years. The model is still an affordable model today and thanks to the modifications it offers the same utility as a pickup but with the character of a real muscle car.
 
Equipment and spec

Condition

Exterior: The seller says that the car is in good condition with a few minor notes, including a couple of cracks in the paint and general wear and tear from use. The seller says that the car is stainless on the body and has been repainted in a non-original color over the years. Glass parts are in good condition and chrome and emblems are in good condition with some "bumps" in the chrome. Interior: The interior is in good used condition with some wear, the seats are fine with some general "patina" from use. The "moulding" on one backrest is loose and the dashboard and panel are in good condition. Mechanically and electrically, everything works as it should and there are a couple of extra gauges fitted. Mechanics: The car runs fantastically well in both engine and gearbox. The built and supercharged 454 big block V8 is powerful and sounds absolutely fantastic! The automatic transmission makes it easy to drive and the seller says that the car keeps the temperature both when cruising and also during more active driving. It is noted that the gearbox drips a little when it stands for a long time, but otherwise completely tight. The rims are made by Center Line and have fresh tires with approx. 8mm tread depth. Service has been carried out by the seller himself and the car was inspected in the summer of 2022. All brakes are in good condition. The odometer reads 71792 miles but cannot be guaranteed by the seller. Please see all the photos in the album for more info!

An unusual, affordable and fast muscle car with the right modifications and really cool stuff. The car is in good condition both exterior, interior and mechanically and ready for action! An opportunity to buy a turnkey coach that will stand out among its peers.
