Basic information and History

This is the first generation of BMW's model of the 7 series with the body name E23. The model was manufactured between the years 1977 to 1986. This was BMW's first model to be equipped with ABS brakes. The model had advanced technology for cars of the time. There were warning lights that indicated if something was wrong and a service trip meter as well as other innovative technology.

This is a 745i Executive which meant a 3.4L straight-6 equipped with Turbo under the hood. This particular car is a fully equipped example that was sold new in Germany and brought home to Sweden as early as 1989.

Over the years, the car has had 9 owners. The car have an odometer reading of 198,758 km.

Equipment and Options
Here it is about equipment and luxury in abundance and this example must have been one of the most equipped cars that left the production line in 1984. The equipment consisted of, among other things, an extended leather upholstery in Buffalo leather. The front and rear seats were electrically adjustable. Electrically opening glass door. Becker Stereo etc

BMW is said to have produced fewer than 400 copies of the Executive version of the E23.
 
Condition
The seller describes that the car gives a good overall impression, but of course there are blemishes. There are some minor rust spots in places and the seller refers to the image material.
The front has previously been repainted.
There is a crack in the lower left side of the windshield.
The car has been used quite sparingly in recent years and has mostly been parked so the engine runs a little unevenly when starting from cold.
The original rims are not mounted to the car at the moment, but they are included. (According to the image material) The tires need to be replaced on the original rims.
The brakes are in an ok condition according to the seller, but would need a service because of the lack of use.
The insulation under the hood is missing.
The tire pattern is described by the seller as approx. 6mm all around.
Original tool kit remains.

Service history
Last service was done last year with oil and filter. Previous service records are available.
Recently refurbished are the Turbo and the rear hydraulic suspension.
There are no noted leaks in the engine or from the gearbox.

Summary
This was BMW's absolute flagship during the 70-80s. Today it is a rare car in a very unusual color combination as most cars were of a darker colour.
