Classic 1984 Alfa Romeo Alfetta 2000L in very good condition and only just over 50000 kilometers on the clock. Final model year of the Alfetta's 12-year life cycle and one of the very first true sports sedans as we know them today.

The time-typical angular design and lovely sound from the 2.0-liter engine that has become synonymous with these small Italian sports sedans. These cars were fitted with a Dion transaxle layout with a rear-mounted gearbox which gave a very favorable weight distribution and, for its time, outstanding sporty handling. Even today, it is an involving and fun driving experience with its direct steering and lively character.

The Alfetta was made in several versions both as a coupe (GT/GTV) and, like this, a small sporty sedan also called Berlina. In addition to being a practical car with room for five, it also flattered those valued sporty driving qualities. The Berlina model was also used extensively by the Italian police and many have probably seen videos of blue and white Alfettas speeding along narrow Italian streets with Carabinieri written big on the side.

This example is from the last year of the Alfetta and involves a facelift with a modernized look and different bumpers. The last update before it was replaced by the Alfa Romeo 90 in the same year, 1984.

The car has been well taken care of and is presented in very good unrestored condition both inside and out. Always been stored in a warm garage since new. The engine is Alfa Romeo's classic 2-liter 130hp unit that drives the rear wheels.

Exterior:
Original paintwork in very good condition. The car is described by the seller as free from rust with no damage to the bodywork.

The tires have 3 mm of tread left and sit on the car's original rims. No damage to either rims or tires. Glass, chrome, and fixtures are in good condition.

It is very clear that the car has been well taken care of by its users. Some plastic parts show a tendency of fade from the sun, something to be expected and can easily be fixed. Apart from this, there is nothing to comment on.

Interior:
The interior with fabric upholstery is in very good condition without wear or large stains.
The pictures note that the roof liner droops down slightly.
All wooden trim has fared very well without dry cracks.

When the Alfetta was launched in 1972, it was in many respects ahead of its time and a completely unique car that created its own segment, with technical solutions that made it difficult to match. On the one hand, a practical family car but at the same time also a competent sports sedan. The favorite of both the police and the bank robbers of the time. This 1984 example is the last edition and perhaps the ultimate Alfetta sold. Many of these cars have lived a hard life and it is very rare to find an example in such a well-preserved condition and low miles. So take the opportunity to bring home one of these fine classics that according to most Alfisti, deserves its own chapter in the Alfa Romeo history books.
